Making easy meals this week. We have had so much rain the last 3 weeks that I am so far behind on the gardens and lawns and am trying to get caught up.
Using my large steel bowl with the bottom cut out for a volcano. (Guess it's time to scrape it clean)
Adding Chicken legs and potato wedges with a piece of Peach wood for flavor.
You can also put a fully lit chimney up through the middle ring hole instead of using a bowl. I tried it and it works great. Put the ring on top of the chimney to add smoking wood.
Tip Top Temp is chugging along as usual. All vents wide open until 450 and then closed the bottom almost completely.
Looking good. Everything is ready. Crispy legs and wedges.
People say they get water in the Akorn with the Tip Top Temp when it rains. I don't use the cover much (Oh....the wife is making that face again) but I always put a little can over it and never have that problem.
