Here it is mid-summer and I just got my spring work done. My two expanded metal chairs, tables, an old pump and lamp post needed painted and my two benches needed stained. I used Charleston Green on the metal. It is a very dark green.
I wanted to use the same stain on the benches that I used on my Smoke deck but it seems they don’t make that color now! I picked out a color called tobacco. It came out a little browner than I wanted but it will do. The 9 yr. old grandson was down after I had the one bench done. I showed him the bench and told him it was a little browner than I wanted. He said” You should have used burnt sienna Grampa it has a little more red in it!” Next time I’ll send him after my stain!
My outdoor gas burner normally doesn’t sit there but I was too lazy to move it. I have to do a shrimp boil soon anyway before the sweet corn is done for the summer. I just finished baking Bigg ER’s best ever chocolate cake and have to ice it yet. Looks good! We’ll have it for dessert tonight with some vanilla bean ice cream.

The brick in the back is old street brick from the city, most I would say are over 100 yrs. old and still look good. Don

It looks great. I really like the look of old brick, and knowing it came from an old building makes it all the more romantic
