I found this forum the other night after buying a used "Pit Barrel Cooker" on Craigslist. I did a Google search to find out more info on this cooker and it lead me here. I have grilled for many years but never got real serious about it until about 2007 when I bought my first Weber Kettle. Since then, I have added approximately 15 Weber grills and smokers to my collection.
A friend at work told me about the Pit Barrel Cooker and it really interested me so I went on their website and watched all of the videos as well as read all of the reviews there as well. I got lucky the other night and someone local to me was selling his and I bought it. Can't wait to try it out. I look forward to reading and participating on this site.

Thanks for the welcome. I do feel very lucky that I was able to find a PBC used and local to me. The guy loved how it cooked but was thinning down some of his grills and decided it was one that was going. He said he used it about 12 times and cooked quite a few different things on it. It was in great shape. He had a generic cover on it that he gave me as well as the remaining seasoning .that came with the cooker.
I did order a PBC cover as well as a bottle of both seasonings from the PBC website so I should be good for awhile.
