Started this on the weber this morning and all of a sudden the sky fell out and the wind took my cooking umbrella, so this is finishing in the CP. Got about four hours on the weber and put in the CP with an IT of 140. Should still be a good butt with the amount of smoke it got.

Looks great RAD!

Looking good to me. My wife does a killer pork butt in the crock pot.

Looks like ya got plenty of smoke and you are just gonna be just fine. I usually will pull my butts and briskies out when they reach the stall. They have taken on all the smoke they can handle and why waste charcoal. In the oven the go for the home stretch 8) 8)

The majority of my smokin of butts & briskets is 6 hours smoke, foil & finish on gas grill or in oven

Looks good so far.

Looks great. I'm starting to see a little bit of sunshine now... Gonna go out and put some ribs on.
-
I think it should be great Rad!!! It has been nice here all day, been settin out and sippen!!! Don

Good news with crockpot finish - juicy product and lots of drippings.
Bad news with crockpot finish - not much crispness to the bark.
The solution in my world - Smoke two and finish one in crockpot, one in oven, and mix the product when pulling.

KH has a nice world. Like he said not much bark but very juicy. Fat was pulled away and pork pulled nicely. Not a bad recovery. Everyone was happy.

Looks excellent Rad

Because it's fun burning charcoal and I buy kingsford 500 lbs at a time. You do too smoke.

And standing around a charcoal burner telling lies with a cold beer in hand just seems right. 8) 8)

RAD, that looks great. I bet it tasted delicious.

There is always at least one turtle with good common sense and wise advice.

Speaking of which, isn't it about time for Home Depot to put it on sale again - or did I miss the last one????
