Title: 11:50pm
Post by: Paul Hart on February 16, 2015, 12:12:02 AM
And it has begun. Possibly over 16 inches and schools have already been called off here. Going to try to stay up a few hours and document the progress.

1:15am.  The big stuff isn't due here for a while yet but it's been snowing pretty good since the last one. I expected more.

All still now, the calm before the storm. From the look of things, we're going to get smashed in about an hour, maybe 2. There's that weird calm that's in the air that always precedes these things. Starting to feel sleepy. Been watching some Nazi documentaries on Netflix.

Thanks.  Not sure why the links don't copy right from my phone. Sometimes they do though. It's random.

You got what we were to get I guess.

They told us 2-4 inchs and most schools starting 2 hrs late  and all we got was a few rain drops

Keep that stuff up there. They said were going to get freezing rain and ice here, which is worse than the snow, but it all went further north.

About 3 1/2 inches so far. It's coming down pretty hard still.

One must be a resident of the "sunny south" to appreciate it, but our forecast calls for less than one inch in the next 24 hours.  Already, schools are announcing closures and delays.  Businesses are closing early.  Grocery stores have been stripped.  Folks are hunkering down for the storm.

Come on, April  ???

Getting ready to say the same thing.  I was watching the news last night and they had closed sections of I-485 because of the ice buildup.  And this after they had days of warning and dumped thousands of gallons of brine.
