Hi There, I have a large Big Green Egg and a Karubecue stick burner that's amazing. Here's a link to the site http://www.kbq.us/ (http://www.kbq.us/). Also a cheap camp chef gasser with cast iron grates that I purchased just for car camping trips but actually grills very well, it's 3 30K BTU burners that gets extremely hot.

Welcome from Minnesota. I look forward to seeing what you cook.

That KBC is pretty interesting - a bit out of my price range right now, but I'll keep it in mind - would be interested to hear and see what you have made on this pit.

Welcome from So-Cal. Checked out the KBC site and when you see a testimonial from Mike Mills, you know that is one serious cooker...

Welcome, from NE Ohio!

I have family living in the Denver area, whom I haven't seen since I was a kid.

I'm smoking a few racks of ribs this weekend and will start a new post with details. Which board should it go on?

It's an amazing pit, virtually dummy proof. Think pellet cooker temp control and convection oven efficiency, fueled by wood logs of choice. You can also choose blue or dirty smoke and any combination of the two. The only "negative" is it requires refueling every 30-45 minutes so not a true set and forget pit but the product it produces is better than anything I can get here in a Denver BBQ joint and easily rivals what you get down South where I'm from.

Welcome 'Nole!

We would love to see that pit in action when you get a chance. Lots of us really "geek out" about pits and technology  used to enhance our cooking!
