We went to Kerry's sisters this week end for her moms 75th birthday.
I wanted to share a couple pics.
The pig was cooked by Chad Stapletons Catering. Good but no smoke...
He got $500.00 bucks for this 100#pig, 2 pans of mac & cheese, and 1 pan of beans. The pig was in a nice steel baking pan and the sides in a loaner Hot Box. About 30-35 grownups.
I carved a little over half the pig and there was a little of that left over.

The pineapple tree was a big hit. Kerry's brother made it from a metal stand, pineapples, ferns etc... . Square 1" tube with a 8 inch flat base welded to the bottom.

Happy Birthday to Kerry's Mom!!! Great looking pig and an artistic tree!!! Don

Sounded like a serious party! Too bad there was no smoke flavor in the pig. Cooked in a gas pit, I'll bet. I have had whole hogs cooked in gas pits that had some smoke flavoring, from wood chunks, not liquid smoke. In fact I helped cook one that way and it was outstanding. Cooking whole hogs is different ball game.
Happy birthday to Kerry's Mom.

I like the palm.

Looks like y'all went all out to make this a great party...must be a great mom and mother-in-law.
If she's anything like Kerry, I'd bet on it.
