Howdy! ;)
I'm a refugee from another forum. Also, a pellethead! Been cooking with those rabbit droppings since 09. Took up comp cooking in June, this year, with Pellethead.Com team, and my NC buddy's bunch, Holy Smoke BBQ, with some amazing success, for a bunch of rookies. Won our way to the American Royal Invitational in KC, and the Jack Daniel's World Championship in Whiskeyville, TN., representing NC. Guess it's going to be down hill, all the way, now. 123 out of 156 in brisket, this past weekend in KC. :-[ Look forward to learning and contributing on this forum.

Welcome from puyallup washington OD

OD - GREAT to have you here! I remember seeing a lot of great posts from you - when I was on pelletheads........
I think you will find that we have a nice, friendly bunch here - we recruit only the "good guys" ;D SO - we know you are one of us now!
We love all kinds of BBQ/Smoking/Grilling gear and cooking. Amazing what we can learn from one another once we set aside our prejudices about methods and equipment - and that is what we are all about. Having fun, experimenting with food and cook methods.
Looking forward to seeing your awesome cooks!

Wow! ::) Did I lose a bet to you? I cooked on one of Rocky's BDS for over a year, until my wife said, no mo, because of that burp bbq taste, you can have the next few days. Gave the 18' away and my nephew made me a 22 1/2 UDS, which I fire up, occasionally. Don't hear much about Mr. Richmond. He was different! :D What was your BDS handle? I am that "Art".

I saw the pellet cooker in operation at the gathering for the 1st time..pretty kewl..the first was a 16 lb brisket. Then several pirk roasts and then a roaster full of potatoes. Great job with all of it. I like that temp control on it. There was 4 of them mounted to a trailer with a frig and sink also. Nice rig. Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

AC, be sure and take a bottle of Texas Pete along with you, when you have lunch with the Hub. He always forgets his and complains about his meal!! :P :-*

If you mean Bentley, yes. Billy Merrill, me, Toddler, and Nick, all rookies, signed on to do our first comp, back in June at Apex, NC BBQ Fest. Billy got Bentley to come down and cook as the KCBS registered Pelletheads.Com team. 30 teams entered, and for some unexplainable reason, we won Grand Champion, $3000, a trip to the Royal Invitational in KC, and a chance to represent NC in the Jack Daniels World Championship, which had a drawing of thirteen Grand Champion NC bbq contest winners. Would you believe, our team got picked out of the hat! So, the Jack and the Royal, in one season. Guess I'll retire, now. ??? Naw. Me, Billy, and hopefully, Hub, if we can pull him back out of retirement, again, will be cooking as Holy Smoke BBQ, next season. It's kinda like smoke, it gets in your blood!! ;D

Thanks for all the well wishes, ladies and germs. (Old Uncle Miltie line). This old geezer appreciates it more than you might suspect. :) See if I can get this photo bucket of my able bodied, great grandson to work. OD(http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad13/ruhtar2002/Picture008.jpg)

OD,
Enjoyed your company at the Royal. You've had quite the year! Is Memphis in May next up for Holy Smoke? May as well go for it. You've come this far.

Billy fired me, cause I wanted to bring my UDS! He's a true blue pellet popper. Also, he said my brisket sucked! Got to work on that during the winter. We had a great time at the Jack. Hope to see you next year, somewhere. ;)
