I recently upgraded from an electric Masterbuilt smoker to a 2016 MAK 2 Star.  I look forward to learning a lot about smoking from the great people on this forum.

I originally was looking at some electric Cookshack smokers which led me to look at some FE pellet grills which then led me to looking at Yoder which then led me to MAK.  For the past several years I read hundreds of posts on various forums regarding smokers.  Since I love to cook and envision using this smoker a lot, I decided (with my wife's blessing) to go all in with the MAK 2 Star.  I'm still learning its nuances but I'm enjoying it so far.  I even have a 3 hour BBQ class I'm taking this Sunday in Chicago.
