Check it out on their website, its really Cool www.pkgrills.com

I look at this one, and the theme song for The Jetsons comes to mind... :D It looks really cool...like something designed by 1950's car designers. When "the future" was a huge design theme.
-
I like it, but to be honest I'd rather have a Weber 22'' with the Slow'n Sear added to it

And you can buy a couple for the price of the PK360.
-
It is cool
-
Yeah that is cool and like Tim said, it does have a Jetson's look about it!
If I didn't have the original model already I'd be having this one. It is the easiest grill to cook/smoke with that I've ever used. Bar none. And your grandchildren will inherit it!
-
Martha over at PK told me about a new model a couple of years ago and it is finally here.
-
The wife and I talked about a different grill that won't rust for Florida. The King Griller Kamado has a fair amount of rust on it already and it's only 3 years old. I told her about the new PK this morning and she said "whatever" I think that means yes :D
-
Wow I got sticker price shock. ???
THE NEW PK360 GRILL & SMOKER. NOS.001 - 100.
$899.99 ???
-
I am a little dissapointed in this new offering. I was really hoping for one of their larger models to be re-introduced. This new model does not seem to be much bigger than the original PK.
I wonder how much of the 899 price tag is attributed to the aluminum stand........................
-

Smoke this is virtually the same size grill with a central stand, nice tables and all the accessories.

They really needed a larger model for larger cooks.....................just my 2 cents....

I agree buddy! I did read somewhere they were leaning towards cooking surface similar to a Weber 22".
That would be the cat's meow!
-
As far as size is concerned your right its not that much bigger, the original is 300 sq in and change whereas the new one 360 sq in. Also did anyone here the rumor that PK was purchased by Weber?

That would be something else......many sites has called the PK "the kettle killer"................

I agree that they need a larger model but this is not the same grill, all the vents have been changed and the bottom ones are really different they also resolved the ash issue falling out the bottom vents and the it opens much like a conventional grill from the front not from the side. If look at the PK site you'll see all the differences. Is it worth the price I'll leave that up to each individual but it would be cool to purchase this knowing that you could hand it down from one generation to another without it rusting out
Just Sayin... :)

Hahaha lol love it! Sadly two mil may not be much down the road! But you could still do a butt proper! :D

I also got sticker shock when I saw the price. I would like to try one out but at that price Its probably not going to happen, especially since it's not much bigger than their other model. I think they probably wanted to keep the portable aspect of PK grills and is why the size didn't get as big as people had hoped. There is rumor that they are going to come out with an XL version that more closely resembles the original style.
I wish that they would offer the PK 360 without the accessories and lower the price. That could shave a couple of hundred dollars off of the price. I have most of the PK accessories that come with the first run of 360's anyway so I don't need them again.
I'm waiting to see some reviews after people actually receive one to decide if it's something I might save up for in the future.

Was going to order the 360 but the size kept haunting me only 60 sq in bigger. I needed something to cook for larger gatherings and after thinking about I decided to go with another PBC. I'll wait for the bigger PK to be released
-
I remembered that the 22" Weber Kettle is 363 square inches so this new PK is almost as big as that. I personally wouldn't need anything larger than a 22" Weber Kettle. My problem is that for the cost of the new PK, you don't get much room. PK is targeting this new grill at the ceramic grills according to their website and the info that has been put out and is why I they have it priced like they do.
There is a guy on the PK Grill Fanatics section on Facebook that claims to have seen this new grill up close and said it's very nice and well thought out.

I am with you Tom. The PBC holds so much food in a small footprint. I am going to wait patiently for the "larger" PK offering.........I just hope I live that long ;D
I am also a little concerned about the what the price will be for a "larger" offering...............might make me look at the Weber kamado which is 24".......it can really hold the grub......................

Lowers price I seen for the Weber Summet Kamado is $1499.95 at FireCraft.

Well, I did break weak and ordered the new PK360. I decided the size would not be a real issue since I have other grills and don't plan on getting rid of all of them. I guess watching the video's on this new grill too many times put me over the edge and I decided I needed to have one. LOL

Congrats! I'm Jealous, can't wait to see your review and cooks on the 360! :)

Looks interesting. One could get 2 of the original PK grills for that price and have some change left over (for meat). Or go for the weber ranch kettle for a couple hundred more and no meat. But I do like the 360. Looks like a lot of thoughtful engineering went into it. Should be a high end winner.
-
It is a lot of money to spend for the size of it but it should last a life time and addresses some of the shortcomings of the original PK grill for me. I like that it is taller and has two big shelves. I like that the ash is contained inside the grill and doesn't fall out the bottom vents like the original one does. For some reason, the pedestal stand has grown on me even though I do like the cart of the original. I do like the new lower vent system and will be curious on how well you can dial in the temp using it.
I understand that for a lot of people, it doesn't make much sense to spend this much on a grill/smoker this size but people spend a lot more than this for other grills that for various reasons I wouldn't buy so I guess its all relative. Plus PK has a 60 day no ask return policy on this grill so if I don't like it, I can send it back for a refund.
I do have an original style PK grill that I bought in April so I really didn't want another one and plus I want to pare down the amount of grills that I have and get rid of some stuff I have not used in awhile. My two WSM's will probably go since I have not used them in a few years and was having some issues with both of them the last few times I used them. I may get rid of one of my Weber Performers as well as my 22" Old Smokey grill.
I will for sure keep my current PK grill, my PBC, my Good One Open Range, one of my Weber Performers, and one and possible both of my Weber gas grills.

I will let everyone know my thoughts and impressions when I get it. I'm sure there will be a little bit of a learning curve at first cooking on it but it should be fun trying.

The bottom air dampers are interesting to me. I have not been able to tell if there is some sort of "gauge" to let you know if you are 1/4 or 1/2 or full open. Please let us know when you get it how you can "adjust" the bottom air vents...................

From one of the video's they have posted on their website, it looks like that on the plastic knob on the front of the air tubes, there is a mark that indicates what I assume is fully open when the mark is on the top of the knob in the middle of it. I don't think there are any other indicators that tells the degree to which the air tubes are going closed. I will take some pictures and give my opinions on how these work when I get it.

Good for you Wayne! You gotta be nice to you every once in a while! 8)
I'm very anxious to see and hear your thoughts on it. It sure is a beauty and if I didn't already have the original I would be very very tempted to do what you did! I do love mine more than any other charcoal grill that I've used. Hope you're very happy with it!

I really like this new PK but I want to wait for a lower price point.
In the mean time I will cook on it through pics of your cook. :)

I think I've been way too nice to myself this year. LOL I've bought an original style PK grill, the Good One Open Range, A new Weber Mastertouch which is still in the box, and a Kettle Pizza which is also still in the box. I also bought all of the new PK grill accessories so I could have bought one of the new Weber Summit grill with the built in table for what I've spent this year.
I really do like my original PK and cook on it more than the others. I'm sure I'm going to like this new one as well.

I would love for it to be cheaper but I don't know if they will eventually lower the price. I guess it depends on how well it sells. I already have all of the accessories that come with this new grill so I wish I could have bought the grill cheaper and they keep the accessories but I guess it's okay to have extras.

Knowing PK, they don't lower prices. I just wish they came out with a larger offering. Why offer something so similar to your original model. Why answer the shortcomings of a grill that has been out since 1952?
I have been begging Martha for years for a larger grill. They should have brought back the "Presidential 1200" model which was there largest model way back when ........
Not hating on the PK360. It is a marvel of aluminum and well thought out. If someone does not have the original Pk, go for it. I was just hoping for something more......Oh well, maybe the next new Pk release 8)
-
There is supposedly an XL version coming out but I don't know if it's supposed to be modeled after the original version or the 360 one. Who knows what the price point will be.

Times past that would be called an Old Age Home. :) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I just bit the bullet and ordered a PK360. We are looking forward to receiving the new grill, and are depending on the shipping estimate (12/20) for it to arrive in time for us to use during our .New Years Day party. We already have a Blaz'n Grill Works GridIron for the low and slow stuff, and this new cooker will mainly be used for grilling and will likely replace the #7 Kamado we have been using since 1999.

I just noticed that on the lid, it says established 1952.
By strange coincidence, so was I .

PK just posted on their facebook page that they have sold the first 100 PK360's. That took about two weeks to do. I wonder how fast the other 400 numbered edition ones will sell out?

OK, you can be Curly :)

I suspect that once some of these cookers have been released into the wild, and the early owners start with our reviews (hopefully good), sales will be brisk. I really like what I see in the design, and if implemented well, it will be a very nice tool.
-
I think PK should have done a few cooks on this new grill and taped them so people thinking of buying one, can see how it cooks and if it is easy to dial in the temps and if the temps stay steady. Those of us that have bought these are taking it on faith that these new grills are going to be even better than the original style. At least you have 60 days to try it out and if you don't like it you can return it for a refund. Hopefully that won't happen.

I received a shipping notice for my PK360 grill. Hopefully it will arrive on Tuesday.
I am looking forward to using it alongside my Blaz'n Grid Iron cooker for our annual New Years Day open house.

Mine arrived today. I must say that it is beautifully engineered, with great attention to details. Fit and finish are great, and the packaging of the cooker, stand and shelves is first rate. I'll post some photos tomorrow.
