Hello to all,
Brand new to the forum, found you all while researching a new purchase I wanna make (we will discuss that in my first general question post :P ) Anyhow, I live in the usually sunny state of California right between Sacramento and the Bay Area. I'm a family man who loves BBQ, cigars and a cold brew. For years I cooked on gas and finally decided to get my first Weber last year (26") and it has been great! Ribs, burgers, tri tip you name it. Then along came my first brisket last month...game over, outdoor grilling has my mind consumed now lol. Look forward to learning, conversations and comrodery.

Hey, Matt, welcome from middle Georgia.
Sounds like our cooking backgrounds are about the same. I've been at it for about 7 years and I'm still passionate about cooking with fire - charcoal and wood. In fact, I turned 69 last month and pushed the clutch in and grabbed another gear. I sold off a couple of things I no longer cook on and ordered another charcoal grill that should arrive by the first week of March.
I look forward to hearing your experiences on the grill.

Welcome from Alabama.I grew up with my Dad cooking on charcoal and wood in a brick pit he built. Got married and cooked on gas only for years until i got a place with room for Weber on the deck.
