Hello all,
I sort of jumped the gun a while back with no intro. Beg your pardon. I have been grilling and smoking since 1974. I've always had a Webber kettle and packed one with me throughout a military career of 25 years. I smoked my first turkey on a Weber in 1977 (worst tasting gravy ever) but the turkey was great. I've cooked over charcoal, naked wood, and gas. My current gas grill bought a few years ago is a Ducane Meridian on closeout with side burners; also have a Brinkman Smokin pit pro; my trusty 28 inch Weber; a Lodge Sportsmans grill and this past spring, a Cookshack 066 which essentially caused me to retire the Brinkman. Retired in 95, I went back to work after a year of boredom, inactivity and lack of fix it projects on the old house we bought. That's about it. I am looking forward to reading posts here as one is never too old to learn.
