Hello all and greetings from the Boston suburbs. Looking forward to lurking, learning, and maybe even posting. I'm a Dad of 3 terrific girls who all love BBQ (Mom, not so much). I've had a Pit Barrel Cooker for a year and love it. Prior to that I smoked on an old Brinkmann water smoker and my Weber 22" kettle, which I've had for as long as I can remember. I also have a Weber Genesis 300 gas grill and a couple different portable cookers.
My favorite thing to cook is brisket, followed by pork shoulder (cuz it's cheap and feeds a lot of people). Cooking for crowds started on July 4th, 2001 which was my oldest daughter's 1st birthday. That year, I cooked for 92 people in my backyard. Cooked a brisket, 3 whole boneless turkey breasts, jerk leg of lamb, and countless burgers and hot dogs. This past 4th was a bit more manageable with two dozen people, a full packer brisket with burnt ends, a pork shoulder, and barrel beans in the PBC.
Look forward to the forum :)
