Found this site in search of PID control ideas for a Pit Boss 440. I converted my Smoke Hollow electric to PID several years ago and not it's time for a pellet burner. Look forward to learning and sharing my BBQ experience here with the rest.

Welcome from Houston. muebe is our PID expert, but he has been real busy lately and hasn't been on the forum too much. I bet smokasaurus can help you with good information. He is here everyday and will be along shortly. Whatever smoke says will be gospel. He knows more about pellet poopers than anyone on earth (in my humble opinion).

Welcome from Central Texas.
You are in good shape round here. We got some guys and gals that know pellet grills inside and out.
You will love your Pit Boss, it is a great entry level cooker. Please keep in mind that it is programmed for larger temp swings to produce more smoke at the lower temp settings.
