Found this on Craigslist:

About 45 minutes from here.

It is not a bad pit Jack. But I do not know how old it is. I would want to look at it fist hand. The pics do not look like the current owner was diligent on cleaning it - but that may not mean anything as far as actual condition. Louisiana uses the same manufacturer for their controller as does Rec Tec and a few others.

Try to look it up by it's model number. You may find some info to help you decide. Like: is the fire pot stainless? ( Makes a difference in longevity of the fire pot ) .

Looks like a great deal to me! I would also like Tee said like to look at it first hand and fire it up to make sure it works.

Some of the earlier model Louisiana used a hard rubber auger. They were nothing but problems. Louisiana grills drop the pellets off into the burn pot like Yoder and Firecraft does.

I am with Tommy on this one.

This is not from the Country Smoker series. The CS series are actually manufactured in North America. This also has the smaller hopper that will not even hold a 20 lb bag of pellets.

don't do it Jack. Buyer beware on this one.

Jaxon, if you look closely at the pictures you'll see signs of rust starting to form under the hopper, on the lower end of the legs, and on the shelf.

Smart Man.   Besides, you have waited this long, don't settle for something that is going to disappoint you.

If I could raise that much, it would all go towards a MAK.  What would my goal have to be...$1200...$1500?  I know they are high $ grills.

But, not far off. Call Bruce @ MAK Grills for a price. Who knows what could happen? They might have a Jaxon special. ( Tho I don't think they would ADD that much to the price....) ;D ;)

I can see an advantage for MAK here..."Official Pellet Grill of Backyard Jack's BBQ in Byron".
