We came to terms yesterday after a brief negotiation. All it has to do is pass the survey & Sea Trial & she is ours. Found it up in MA last weekend. There were only about five boats left on the east coast that I wanted in my price range.
Almost time to set up the grill for some fresh steaks (Beef, Tuna or sword) on the water.
She is a 2002 23 Pro-line Walkaround fishing/family boat that is capable of going off shore on a good day (tuna ;D ;D) or my favorite spot of Block Island. The Engine is a Mercury 225 Efi That sucks up gas & oil like my brother eats at a buffet. but she is reliable & easy to maintain. I will need to add Tabs, midships cleats, & radar but she comes with a good Garmin fishfiner, GPs & VHF radio. The best part is this boat comes with a donzi hull. Not all pro-lines do.
On my bucket list is a trip to Citi Field next year to see the Cardinals play the mets for a couple of days while I boatgate before & after the game. Between games a trip to "the statue" going through "hells gate"
Now we have to name her. All my names have been axed by my family :'( :'( :'( :'( Foxtrot ll. (after genesis album), Mad Man Moon (genesis song), Red White & Blues (I know too long but i like it) S.S. United States after my favorite ship, The Cardinal Way (after my favorite team). or the Red Bird after my two favorite teams AZ & Stl Cards. Its about time (since it has been so long between boats lol) My wife did not like that one.
So it will be named after our two Goldens - "Butterscotch & Pudding" I am sure when the kids vote ??? ??? ???
Maybe the Hounds of the sound ??? ??? ??? ???
I really can't wait to fire up the Magma grill on this puppy.
I almost forgot my wife said no more BBQ equipment for ten years :'( :'( :'( :'(

I LOVE IT!! Very nice boat. WAY outta my price range. I am thinking about naming my boat "Empty Wallet" lol
I know a good name but it may be foreboding...."Up In Smoke" as an homage to your grilling passion.
Speaking of Genesis, why not name it "Home By The Sea"?
-
The best name I ever saw on a boat was "Shebrokeus" :)
-
Congrats! Nice looking boat, hope it works well for ya'!
-
Very nice!

Nice boat there. One for the collection, how about
"Time or Temperture"
That would work for my wife anyways as it must be a free day and her bored to death to want to go and the outside temperature must be above 75*

First it has to pass a marine survey on the 19th. Could be a deal killer. We shall see. I am 2/3 there lol.
I had a 33 Baha express when I was single that was called Foxtot (again Genesis) So i was thinking Foxtrot ll as it is also a red boat. But the wife said no to Foxtrot lol.
All good names.
I love that the boat was built on the Donzi hull & is really 24.5 LOA. My favorite port when i was single was Block Island. I went there on a 24 footer & the 33 footer. Just have to pick your days but this boat should be good in the ocean.

What type of boat Tommy. In the fall people that buy new boats want to sell their old ones before winter set in. It can be a good time to buy.

I also love the SS United States, even in her current sad state of disrepair. As a 10 year old boy, I boarded her at her open house, when she brand new, in 1952. She is lovingly referred to as the Big U......so how about the Big U II. Not many people would know what it meant.

It is so funny but I have been thinking of that name but I don't think I deserve it.....Funny feeling of being around such greatness

You might consider the suggested name to honor a great ship. I'm afraid that if a financial miracle doesn't occur very soon, her days are numbered, and she will end up at the ship breakers. I would much rather she be towed to sea and sunk rather than ending up as razor blades.
