Title: Hello from Central PA
Post by: pensrock on January 24, 2012, 11:30:23 AM
I'd like to say hello to all the members of this site and thank Rick (nepas) and Tommy (TMB) for inviting me to join the group. From my brief look around I have seen others here I know and hope to meet new friends as well.

Glad you joined us. This really is a relaxed place to read and converse about cooking outdoors ( or indoors).

Heck - if it good food - we like it!

Welcome to the forum, from N.E. Ohio! :)

P.S - off topic, but...

1 - Bradley electric smoker
1 - Outhouse shaped propane fired smoker
1 - AMAZN smoker clone
2 - Smoke Daddy clones
1- crappy gas grill, I want a MAK so bad!  ◄◄◄◄

When you do take the MAK plunge, you won't regret it one bit. Our family absolutely loves our MAK 1 Star! Even my 15 year old son cooks on it.

Pens is here!

If anyone has a hot pepper question...   Pens is the man to ask.

He makes a mean snack stick as well.   ;)

Thanks for the great welcome everyone. Smokeouts are great, you get to meet people from the forums in person and eat some great food. You also pick up tips on smokers and smoking and have a chance to see different smokers in use. In my part of PA you do not see pellet poopers so the only time I had a chance to see them was at Rick's smokeouts. He explained all the operations and what he liked about both the Traeger and the MAK. If any of you get the chance to go to a smokeout, go you will have a great time.  :)
