After painting my New Braunfels Black Diamond I needed to heat it up to cure the paint (outside only). I didn't want to make a mess with ashes from charcoal and wood, so I took a burner from a turkey fryer and temporarily mounted it inside the firebox. It worked so well, that I decided to make my NBBD into a convertible smoker. I can now either use the charcoal basket to smoke normally, or I can use this gas conversion for an easy smoke.
Here are some pictures of the conversion.

I can't wait to try cooking something on it.
