Lighting Strike
« Reply #-1 on: July 07, 2014, 08:00:30 PM »
My DSL router got nailed with a bolt of lighting yesterday. Called my ISP to come and fix it. This router is for their HI-SPEED MAX and needs to be configured by them or else I would have just exchanged it myself. Lady at the other end says July 20th. I say no way. Thats not going to happen. I will cancel my account before that will happen. She said they will be at your house on Tuesday. I said thanks :)
Than I had to figure out how to run my computer off my cell phone as a hot spot. Its kind of slow but it works till they come out and fix the DSL.

My Dodge Nitro got hit about 2 years ago. Fried all the electronics in it. Warranty covered all but
300.00 bucks so I got off cheap! Most of that was for a new key fob!

I think the lightning hit the big oak tree by where I was parked. The roots are so big I think I was parked on one or over it. I
know that I don't park close to those roots anymore. Lightning storms are almost a daily occurrence here in the summer.
