Welcome from the alien capital of the universe!   Envy you with all of that fresh pork!   Getting more difficult all the time to find real good stuff around here.     There are a lot of good smokers out there on the market.  IF I didn't care about my marriage, I'd get a Masterbuilt rig--the larger of the two.   BUT, I know I'd lose my happy home if I bought another piece of equipment right now!   You might check Jeff Phillips site--smoking-meat.com, or the "StoryQue" magazine, which I subscribe to on line.   Jeff has revewed quite a few smokers and so do various people in StoryQue.

We have some reviews and actual sponsors here as well...I hope we can encourage the support of those first.....A company cannot become a vendor here just because the have money to spend. They must demonstrate that they - and their product bring high value, and are dependable, quality oriented products. And - that they understand the need for highest level of customer support.
Typically - the only vendors on LTBBQ have been approached to become sponsors by the members first.... And - unlike other forums - we are NOT owned by, nor do we sell ANY brand of cooker or equipment - i.e. - when you ask LTBBQ for genuine user experience THAT is what you will get. Not a vested interest answer from a seller that surfs the discussion forums in order to sell more of his product. THIS is a foundational rule of LTBBQ - and something that no other site can claim - and prove ;)

Welcome from mid Alabama. What kind of hogs do you raise? I have been finding some pasture raised Duroc and even some Berkshire pork lately. I love to eat pig.

I look forward to you educating us about hog farming. We all forget what it take to get the food to our table, in terms of the time and work involved.
