Hi from Tampa, Florida

Just bought my SRG and my first meats smoked was a total fail...too burnt to even eat.  I am so glad I found this site.  I've been reading all threads and learning so much. Coming here first thing before I cook anything.  I am 68 years old and know with your help I am going to love my new toy.

Another Minnesota welcome.

I have an SRG as well. My experience is it can add a smoke flavor but it is not a smoker in the sense of a low and slow cooker - it is a power cooker. Check out the SRG threads, you'll find lots of good ideas. Also feel free to ask questions, there are a number of SRG experts on this forum. Good luck!

Welcome, and I'm glad you made it in!

Tommy (TMB) and some of the other knowledgeable SRG users will be along shortly.  I look forward to seeing what you do with your new cooker after you get it figured out.
