I'm with Hikerman!   My mom and my grandmother (born in Prague, Bohemia) used to make oxtail soup but used barley, too.    Love barley to this day--especially when they make beer out of it!   LOL

Looks mighty good Rad! 
I used ox tail for hamburger once cause it was cheap.  Will not do that again, 
 I might just try your stew out next hunting trip though...

Just got mine out of the oven. I let it rest in the refrigerator for about a day.
Braised in coconut milk, curry and a Sherry.



I actually have oxtail at least twice a month. Love that stuff.
