While at the fish cleaning station to clean our Dungeness crabs this morning (should be called fish/crab cleaning station) we ran into 3 guys cleaning 6 gorgeous King (Chinook) Salmon. I jokingly said that we would trade some crabs for some salmon. We proceeded to clean our crabs when the fisherman, on his own, put a salmon filet on our table. We in turn gave him 3 large cooked and cleaned crabs
Who says the bartering system is dead?
Marinaded the salmon with some Mr Yashida's Teriyaki and hot smoked it on the GMG Davy Crockett grill. Man-o-man ... fresh King Salmon is to die for. Can't wait to catch my first one. Maybe tomorrow
... Right now the count is: Crab -> 35 - Salmon -> 0 !!
So moist and delicious ... smoked at 180ºF for an hour then at 250ºF till the IT reached 145ºF
