My birthday was kind of a bust... We spent it up at OHSU-- James was scheduled to have an operation on his leg (varicose veins with some complications), but they had a little "snafu" and forgot to book an operating room for him.
They were able to get some pre-op testing done, and some compression stockings to help him through this week, though, so it wasn't a total loss. Will be doing the REAL surgery next Tuesday.
We did go out to a nice meal at McGrath's Fishhouse on the way home, and shared some delicious pinot noir and prawns. The night before we had the crab Smoker Pete shared with us and some sparkling wine, so that was the real birthday dinner treat.
