Hi folks.  Not sure how much I'll be posting, but I must admit that BBQ is really starting to become a main hobby of mine.  I have always been fascinated with cooking, and in recent years become more focused on BBQ.  My last setup was a webber kettle modified with a smokenator and a BBQ guru PartyQ temperature controller.  I have recently bought a Pit Barrel Cooker (arrives 9/16/14) because I wanted more room to cook and found my last setup to be a bit finicky.  I also just recently bought the iCelcius thermometer and I can't wait to do my first smoke!  Any suggestions as to what I should do first on my PBC?  Thanks for having me, and I hope to make many friends here!!!

Keep us posted on how you're enjoying the PBC once it arrives and you start cooking on it. Oh and try to include a few pics (we live for pics around here). :)

And your first cook should be chicken. IMHO that is what the PBC excels in making although everything else is great too ;)
