A wet rag or towel will do the same thing.  Cool idea on the video.

Just a bit of advice. Don't pick up the pan and try to run outside and throw it in the yard. Bad Idea.
Had a buddy (since deceased) who tried that once. Burned the heck out of himself and set the apartment building on fire. Other than that it worked ok!

Yeah, the floor could be replaced, the hair on my arm grew back and the scars are not even noticeable.
