New Guy - East S.F. Bay Area
« Reply #-1 on: November 18, 2014, 06:32:40 PM »
Hi all.

Found this place while doing research after deciding to buy a dedicated smoker and am happy to be here. Looking forward to lots of learning and sharing. Technically, I guess I have to say I still don't have a dedicated smoker because while researching I discovered the Pit Barrel Cooker and now have one sitting in my garage as of last week. Good results after two cooks, and looking to learn the thing a bit more and make them all great cooks. Don't think I'll ever have better chicken than those that come out of this cooker! Even my youngest and pickiest daughter raved about it. Very nice tri-tip and ribs so far, too. Great device.

Other than that, I have been doing all of my outdoor cooking on a Weber Performer, and will occasionally throw in the Smokenator for a slow smoke.
