Congrats Mike!  One thing to remember... cardio and intake regulation can only do so much.  Building lean muscle helps a ton.

That is very true, in addition to all the running and other forms of cardio I do, I also workout at the gym with a trainer 2X's a week on strength training.  He puts me through torture, but it's well worth the effort.

So now I am officially at 170lbs!

Amazing how I have gone from 213lbs to 170lbs. All my pants are just falling off and had to notch out my belt a couple of times!

According to my height 5ft 10 and frame I should be around 150lbs :o

So I figure maybe another 10lbs should work.

At my rate of weight loss right now I might just reach that goal before the New Year!

Once I get there I will start cooking again just keep my portions down to a normal person ;)

Way to go, Mike. I'm also working on weighing 170; however, I'm a little farther away from it than you.....OK, a lot farther away, but still working on it. It's hard to diet this time of year. Maybe that excercise thing you've got going is the ticket. I might try that.

Mike, those weight charts are BS. I am about 5' 11" and went from over 258 to 185. At 185 I didn't look or feel good. I am up to about 200 now and my doctor says I could stand to gain a few pounds but I am happy with this weight. Don't worry about the numbers just get to where you feel good.

Ain't that the truth.  ::)

And being on the LTBBQ forum everyday isn't much help either.  :P

Good for you buddy! It takes hard work and real dedication to achieve that! I recently quit smoking and am back on my regular work out routine.. I got as high as 195lbs and am working to get back in the 175lb range.

Good job  ;D

I'm a great believer in regular exercise (walk two or three miles most days) and counting calories and carbs (keep a diary).  I've dropped about sixty pounds in the last two years and kept it off.  The hardest thing for me isn't sweets or bread or even too much barbeque, its not getting enough GRAVY   :'(
