My Wife Cooks Tonight!
« Reply #-1 on: December 05, 2014, 12:28:58 AM »
My wife cooked tonight, she said she wanted the practice. She figures she will have to do the cooking for at least two weeks after my surgery Dec. 15th. She got a walleye sandwich from Sandman’s carry out! That sandwich has plenty for a sandwich for me and the rest of the fish for my wife and it’s just $5.25.
The walleye is done just right, nice and crispy. She got some slaw and tater tots for her sides.

I had some mustard and hot bread and butter pickles on my sandwich. For my side I heated up some of Hub’s Super Stuffing with gravy. I think the stuffing tasted better a day old Hub!

While we were eating my wife said “I have my weekly menu planned for when I have to cook. Sundays we will have Samdman’s broasted 8 pc. Chicken special, Wednesdays his pizza special and walleye one night. That leaves 4 days I have to cook.” We also like burgers and chili from Wendy’s and country fried steak from Bob Evens so she will have that down to two days a week she has to cook!

That's just half the fish on my sandwich!

Now that's what I call a fish sandwich!  Stuffing slices and gravy look fantastic as well!

Love me some walleye.  Yours looks good!

I think stuffing is always better after the first day.  The problem is usually that there isn't much leftover.

I wish Sandman would open up a carry out store in Houston. Your wife is a smart cook. We'll be thinking about you on the 15th. Good luck with your operation.

Ken this is not good Lake Erie walleye but what they call ocean walleye or aka polluck. It is a mild fish much like lake walleye and pretty darn good. I think Lake Erie walleye would run you at least $15 a pound when available. Don
