Who else rides?
« Reply #-1 on: January 04, 2015, 07:46:13 PM »
Just curious.  I've been riding, on and off, for 40 years.

Right now I've got an '06 Roadliner that looks more like a Strat.  I still have my '02 Road Star, but I hoping to clean it up and sell it hits spring.

I can see that RAD and know that Hikerman does as well.  Now I find out that Cajun wears chaps when it's really cold.

So, who else rides?  If you do, what?

This is all a little unsettling, and nearing bedtime too!  Let's see here, Pappy saw Tim in his chaps, Tim is a self-admitted part-timer with the Chippendales, and finally Pappy is a big Chip n Dale fan. Whew!!!!!!!  ???  I won't be able to sleep a wink now!

Have a toddy Gene. It will all be better in the morning. Unless - of course - you have nightmares.... :D :D :D

I think you're right Tim. There's a B&B bottle with my name on it. May have to sip on a bit of it! 8) ::)

I love to ride but unfortunately  I have not been in a position to do so in quite a while. I have owned bikes since my first 3.5 hp mini bike at 8 years old.... Dirt, street, cruisers....
Given the opertunity I will own a road bike again. I have an old 750 Honda in the barn but it has not seen daylight in a while... It was what we used as a trainer years ago.
About ten years ago I had a run in with a voltswagon. Resulting in a broken hip in three places  , three ribs ,broken wrist, big toe.   Ripped all the liniments out of my right shoulder and right my knee.  Things I am reminded of dailey . I was told I would not walk again but I did not agree ! That bedpan was not going to cut it.........
I have a  13 inch titanium rod ( hurricane strap) holding it all together these days which does not like cold damp weather! The helmet paid off that night, one look at it will convince anyone of that....
After 4 weeks In the local hospital Intencive care and 7 weeks in UAB plus a year of rehab I did pull through and am upright again.
Never the less I hope to do a country round trip in the future at some point. Cancer seems to be killing off my family and I would much rather die from something a bit more "cool"than that shi t !
A lot to ask for I'm afraid though.

As far as the Chippendales I 'll leave that up to those that swing a bit differently .....  :o :)
