New Kitchen Toys
« Reply #-1 on: January 16, 2015, 09:14:18 PM »
Since I have been taking care of my wife after her knee surgery, I was able to talk her into letting me buy two of the De Buyer Mineral element B pans.  I ordered the 8” and the 10”.  They will be replacing several “coated” pans that I have to replace all too often.  I followed comments from several LTBBQ members and did more research on the subject.  I will start the seasoning process later this weekend.  I like the heft of the pans.  They are certainly lighter than my edge frying pans.  We’ll see how they work out.  I have high expectations.

If you don't can you do post on how you season your pans.

These are on my bucket list ;D

Do you want them to look like that? I see some of the chefs pans all look like that. Will it turn completely black?  Pam  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

The more they are used the darker and more non-stick they become. They go from stovetop to broiler/ oven, and clean up in seconds!

They are the prettiest after the initial seasoning. But they perform better as they get darker. Made a couple of eggs today. I swear it is as non stick as my Teflon pans.
