Laughter is the best medicine??
« Reply #-1 on: March 15, 2015, 09:48:03 PM »
Whomever said "Laughter is the best medicine" never enjoyed cooking

This week has been very rough on Kimmie and I.    Started off with having to drive 2 hrs to see a doctor in Birmingham Al  just to be told there is nothing he is willing to do for me and he diagnosed me with a disease he has not even tested me for  >:( >:(

The doctor is the one I'm stuck with because of workman's comp.  This is an on going case from the time a kid at work parked a Honda Accord on top of me..

Anyway, laughter is not the best medicine for me but cooking outside with lots of hickory and apple smoke rolling is  ;) ;)

After a rough winter I got a beautiful day to cook and it was such a good feeling to be outdoors and cooking.  No it's not a big exciting cook nor did I get to use the new Rec-Tec  :(  but I did get out and kill a few yardbirds and shared them with Kimmie

Here are the last of them, sorry didn't get more pictures but had a lot going on during the day.  The BBQ sauce was one TwoPockets   (Ken) brought up during the summer and man it's good stuff.

Good to see/hear from you TMB .... I'm glad you were able to have a good day with the wife. I'm sorry to hear the doctor in Alabama didn't have good news (Get a second & maybe a third opinion).  :-[  But you're right...enjoying a good cook and a few good laughs with good friends IS the best medicine.  :) 8)

Hate to hear you are having problems with workers comp. If some kid parked.a Honda on you, you should have good medical care and a new Honda for free.

For me outdoor cooking is great therapy.  Smoke is right! The smoke in the air seems to put me in a different world!

Too bad your not getting the proper medical attention that you deserve. And people wonder why there are so many workmans comp lawyers out there >:(

But cooking and a beer sure does make me feel better!

Glad you like that sauce Tommy, I have been able to find it in the Western market close to me and sometimes in Piggly Wiggly. Rob makes a good sauce and he is starting to get it in the stores more.

Really good stuff Ken, I hope he gets it up in North Alabama thanks for bringing it up   :)

I wish I had time I would have tried to meet up with y'all for lunch but didn't have time and besides after the meeting I was in no shape to talk to anyone at the time >:( >:( >:(   That doctor really made me mad and the way he acted was wrong.  Workmans comp or not I am a person not a freaking number :(

I am waiting the results of my test hope to have them in today

I hope the results are good Tommy. I have seen so many doctors in the last year. My primary is a super nice guy, some of the others not so nice.
