Please allow me to introduce myself!
« Reply #-1 on: August 26, 2012, 08:54:51 AM »
Greetings from Fountain Valley, Ca. I have always used a gas grill for outdoor cooking, but recently I have purchased a Weber kettle and I really enjoy using the charcoal on Sunday when I have the time.During the week I still use the Char Broil 6 burner, I also have a La Caja china (china box) that I received as a gift from my wife that I will be firing up very soon, besides my family and job, eating and cooking is constantly on my mind ::).  Thanks, looking forward to learning some new things

I met T-Bone in person yesterday and he is one nice guy!!! He is also on the Bullet site and he is the one that tipped me off on Ole Red when it was for sale!! He also tipped me off to an unused Weber Corn & Tater ring which I grabbed up.

He bought a used WSM off of my little bro's brother in law yesterday. My brother wanted to keep it but with his arm he can't lift the center section safely so he sold it and we are waiting on the Cajun Injector smoker to be delivered.

I told T-Bone we need more charcoal guys around here and he will be a great addition to our family!!

Don't be afraid to get us some nice recruits T-Bone..the more the merrier!!!!

P.S. will get the cover sent out to ya with a bottle of "Texas Thunder"...good luck trying to find it...there is only one outfit that sells it and I aint tellin!!!!  ;)

First off, thank you for all your kind greetings! And thanks to smokeasauras for some great conversation yesterday along with my purchase!
And as for the class I am signed up for a BBQ class with Harry Soo from BBQ Pitmasters in December, I met Harry at a BBQ contest recently and right after his last turn in, we had a nice conversation and he let me sample his competition meats, ribs, briskit, chicken and pulled pork and it was wonderful, he told me that the majority of his competitors at this event have taken his class.
I am really looking forward to it, if I can make ribs similar to his, along with his other samples  that will be a great Christmas gift to myself.
Thanks guys.
