Hey all, just doing my intro here.
Dad, husband, father of 2.
I only recently got into BBQ having lived overseas in Seoul, SK for about 8 years and eating as much Korean BBQ in 8 years as most people will eat in their entire life. In any case, I didn't have the time, space, or even the need to learn how to do any of my own cooking because eating out in Korea was so cheap (and good!!!!)
Anyway, I moved back to ND back in 2010, and quickly discovered that dining out was abysmally disappointing more often than not, so I decided to learn to cook.
While, in the grand scheme of things, I'm not a great cook, I did learn how to do a pretty decent steak, ribs, and a handful of other dishes well enough that I don't miss eating out anymore.
My weapons of choice these days are my Charbroil SRG and my Anova sous-vide. Happily, this website has sections devoted to both of those so that's probably where I'll be spending the most of my time. I've been lurking from time to time really love how friendly and helpful everyone seems to be.
I look forward to learning from you guys.
