Hong we are happy to welcome you "out of the shadows" ;D.

A lot of folks lurk because they see some "attitudes" on  other forums that may make them uncomfortable with asking new guy questions. I will promise you that we are NOT driven by ego, and no one here feels like they look smarter by dis-repecting someone else. Of course, we do tease one another ( folks that know each other especially ) but it is all in good fun, and FUN is one of the rules here. That's why we enjoy cooking isn't it?
For the fun of all aspects. ( O.K. - the eating part is my favorite :D )

So, WELCOME! - glad you are here. Dig in and fire off questions as you want, and also - don't feel bashful about knowledge and recipes that you want to share. We welcome all kinds of cooking.

Another Minnesota welcome,

You are in the right place - we are all trying new things, cooking tools, recipes, etc. Jaxon teased me for months to get into Sous Vide (I have the Anova as well.) I keep learning things every day. As T says, we DO tease each other - frequently (just do a search for T's white legs...  ??? ??? ???) But it is all in fun. Look forward to seeing your cooks (by the way we DO love pictures...)
