   I saw this today and now I'm thinking its time to make a wandering trip over to see the relatives in La. That means a long weekend turning a 4 hour trip into two, three or even four days of side roads, back roads and never being lost because you are following a general compass direction. It can be tricky in La with the swamps and after Katrina several bridges have never been repaired. But that's part of the fun.
One of the most important things I have learned over the years is that you cant judge a restaurant by its cover. Especially in Louisiana. You judge it by the number of  cars out front.... And these little food reviews don't hurt either.

Don when we go I'll let you know. Maybe we can meet somewhere. We may spend a couple nights at the Atchafalaya Basin Landing & Marina 1377 Henderson Levee Rd,  Breaux Bridge, LA 70517
 They have some little house boats there ($100 a night) they rent along with the bar, store and swamp tours available.
 Also grills...
I'm just starting to get this together. I'm looking at some new routes.
