Hey all! We're about 15 mi. south of the U.P. No internet signal at the cabin except on beer and ice runs to town 12 miles away.
Pics are last night's dinner and the inside of a Northwoods cooler! 8)

If you have to cook paella, that would be a proper spot to do it. Just beautiful. Looks like you have everything covered including all the ice chest "extras".

Looks great.

What is the "U.P." that you are 15 miles south of?
Why couldn't Noah have swatted the 2 mosquitoes?.

Seeing as how hikerman is "off the grid" I will answer GR's question. The U.P. is the upper peninsula of Michigan. People there refer to themselves as "Yoopers".

  • Always looking for new ways to improve my food.
My son in law flies for American and now is in Marquette.  Said it was 50 degrees and ran 8 miles today. I remember my days growing up in Michigan and I had Hamms the beer brewed from the Land of Sky Blue Waters.  Do not see it here in Florida, but remember it as a beer like Pabst and Strohs in the Upper US.  Being older now, I have found many better brews.
