Hi All,

I live just outside of Hilton Head, SC and am a transplant from LBI, NJ.  I have been smoking on a bullet and a modified grill with excellent results despite the obvious shortcomings of both, but have been looking at the PBC for quite some time because with my backyard projects it was never the right time.

I finally bought one 2 weeks before Thanksgiving this year and the thanksgiving turkey was my first smoke on it.

Welcome! Glad you are here, and congrats on the PBC. How did you like the turkey? I believe it does the best chicken and turkey I have ever cooked.

My turkey experience it going to be my first post actually.

I was not happy with the results, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that it was my fault.  there are some things I did; wet brine, wet wood chips free range bird that I am theorizing contributed to the underwhelming results.

You've  come to the right place to learn and talk about the PBC.  I don't have one, but it seems everyone else does and they are posting some mighty good looking food pics cooked therein.

I am sorry to hear about your 1st results on the PBC. I have been using one for a few years and generally had great results. Most of the less than impressive results come down to me. But whether or not that is your case - I have ALWAYS found that calling or emailing Noah & Amber resulted in a quick and helpful response. these folks have the BEST customer service around.

I agree this is probably a case of something went wrong because of me.  I will definitely call Noah and Amber, but want to correct what I think are my self inflicted issues.  I posted about it in the PBC forum, and thanks for the welcome.

Was "Wet wood chips" the brand of the bird or did you use wet wood chips in the PBC?
