Grossie is the one that told me about this place.

I started out a long time ago with a Big Chief smoker.  It took some practice to get used to it and then it died.  I had a smoke box on my grill for a while which was OK, but the Masterbuilt smoker I've had for a few years now really does the job for me.

I modified it slightly by adding an old metal pie pan down below for holding wood chips.  The standard spot for chips on the Masterbuilt seems to want to burn everything up in no time flat.  Adding the pie pan regulates smoke a lot better.  I also added nomex gasket to the door to keep smoke from escaping.

I think today I'll be smoking up some pork loin for dinner tonight.

Happy Mothers day out there.

Welcome from Maryland - transplanted from the Akron, Ohio area.  I spent a lot of time in the Dayton/ Cinci area for work.  I loved the drive every time I had to go down that way.
