Have you eaten at Midwood Smokehouse?  I have been holding a dinner meeting there once a month for the past six months.  I am the alumni advisor for my fraternity at Johnson & Wales University.  I travel to Charlotte weekly.

I've never been to Midwood Smokehouse, however after reviewing their site, I've saved it as a POI for my next trip down to see family.

My baby sister went to JWU Charlotte and Miami. She loved it. She's a seriously skilled chef.

I'm hoping to take the family down for a game at BOA stadium this coming season. Waiting to see which game. I'm hoping my Uncle can get box seat tickets. He gets them through his company, but is a big Cowboys fan, so his family reaps the benefit.   :D

Thank you everyone for the welcome!

I looked at the MAK and it looks like it is built by the military. I can see that thing parachuting out of a plane and surviving. However, I think I'll stick with the Rec Tec this time. It satisfies too many of my wants and needs...for now. I read Hub's 101 posts and it was funny that I used those same principles to come down to choosing the RT-680, but I have two charcoal grills and may end up with two pellet smokers too.

PM me when you are going to visit Charlotte.  We could meet at Midwood Smokehouse if my schedule is open.
