Memorial Day hot dog & hamburger bar
« Reply #-1 on: May 19, 2016, 11:38:32 PM »
We wanted something simple this year so we are doing a fixing bar for the holiday About 22 people.

We will have fresh lettuce, tomatoes, & onions (sliced, diced & pan fried).
Four kinds of Mustard (not shown in the picture is a German Mustard)
Two kinds of Ketchup
Horseradish sauce, sauerkraut, pickles & mayo
Cheddar & Blue cheese
Fresh Bacon slices & bacon bits
Hot garlic butter for the burgers & Dog rolls.

For the baked beans we will have B & M bacon & onion, Maple & Boston best. We will have bacon on top for a little extra flavor.
Homemade slaw – Homemade German potato salad with Bacon & a fresh Pasta salad.
Potato Chips two kinds.
For hot dogs We will try the Costco foot long franks with our new Spiral Cut dog cutter.
Burgers are undecided on where we will get the meat from.
Salmon Burgers also for one person

The idea is just to cook the burgers & dogs with a little salt & pepper & have people make them the way they want

Not having chili as I don’t like it.

We think we will have an ice cream bar for dessert…not sure.

Anyway that is our plan as of today. I will use the 18.5 inch Weber for charcoal & my sears gasser for cooking all of this.

LOL  I am a mustard type of guy ;D  Sometimes with a little chopped onions, & ketchup & sometimes a little kraut or cheese.

It is not that I hate Chili but it is not my favorite if it takes over the taste of the dog.

I may be the worlds only tailgater the does not love pulled pork(now Tommy will be mad at me ;)) & Chili.

As far as Mayo! I will put it on a burger & Fries with ketchup but never on a dog ??? ???

Trying to figure out whether I could make it there and back prior to my Monday plans....... nope, but tempting idea to do this.  Makes it easier for a group of people, that is for sure!  Great idea!
