New from Oregon

Howdy everyone!  Sam from Oregon here.  Was told of this site just recently, thought it sounded like a great place to be.  I like the open minded outlook there seems to be here regarding all forms of backyard cooking and barbecuing.  I'm lucky enough to be able to cook on some pretty top notch cookers, but as we all know, you can cook great BBQ and have a blast on whatever your using.  So that elitist stuff doesn't fly with me, it's about having fun!  I'm from Sherwood, Oregon, and for the next 5-6 months we're going to have days just like today, windy and wet.  So a place like this to sneak off to for a while sounds like a great escape!  I suppose we can all live vicariously through each others experiences and adventures in the backyard.  Always love looking at the photos as well.  No better way to get the full picture than a photo of it.

Anyhow, thanks for having me, look forward to reading more and partaking here and there.  Just to be completely upfront and honest with you all, I am involved in bbq for a living, but I am in no way, shape or form, here for any of that.  I'm no different than anyone else here, just in it for the pure love and passion for Barbecuing, and the good times that surround us all by the pit.  Barbecue can  mean many different things to us all, and for me, it's turning everyday into a weekend!  You know, when your planning that next cook, that's kind of like that "Friday Night Feeling" you used to have after a long week and anticipating the weekend ahead and time away from work.  That's how I feel about BBQ everyday, and I'm happy to be amongst many others who I think probably feel the same way.  I look forward to the interaction and times ahead on LTBBQ.  Thanks! ;)

Thanks for the welcome all.  Ya Sparky, the Pit Barrel Cooker is fun, simple, and you can get an 8 hour cook time on 8lbs. of charcoal.  The folks at the Pit Barrel Cooker Co. have made it simple, and they offer 24/7 for support, you can't beat that.

Lots of great people here, love the good vibes and upbeat feel you find at LTBBQ. Thanks! 8)

Welcome Sambbq from the central California Coastal city of Pismo Beach where the sun is starting to crack through the clouds and we have not seen any of the forecast rain.  I guess it's almost time to fire up the grill then...

Hey Sam, welcome from a Southern California BBQ fanatic and previous MAK2 client of yours !!

Glad to have you on board to share your overwhelming knowledge and love of BBQn.  My other partner Stacey in our small BBQ co-op group, also said to say "Hi and thanks again for the excellent product and service you provided me on my MAK2, it's been an unbelievable pellet cooking experience."

This is a fun BBQ forum with many passionate BBQrs here and I hope you enjoy the future journey on it's growth.

Let's Talk BBQ Members, although Sam is not a forum sponsor yet - please look him up as Sam's NW BBQ Co., Sherwood, Oregon.  He is a BBQn man with a heart and word of gold.  If he says something, he'll back it and do it professionally, sincerely, and with no hidden agendas; other than, his love for BBQn to share  ;)

Always best regards,

Ray
