Gus' Stew
« Reply #-1 on: May 30, 2016, 10:37:06 PM »
Last week I made , a lamb roast, this week I had made my favorite beef ribs potatoes, peppers; and I made some sausage and pepper sandwiches. But I had a lot of left overs.
What to do?
So I went and got some carrots and green onions and added the lamb, rib, and sausage meat, the potatoes and the onions and peppers, added some spices and a bit of gravy mixins and made Gus' Stew.

Here are all the leftovers chopped up, and the spices all ready to go.

Threw it in the crock pot for about 6 hours

All down and about to get eaten.

The stew was fantastic if I must say so myself. All the different meat flavors blended into a great flavor. Now it was about 95 degrees out so not exactly stew weather but I wolfed it down any way.
Best part is I had about 6 servings left that I was able to freeze for some other time.

Gus, you're a man after my own heart.
I always have a lot of leftovers. (It's just V. & me now) So I do what you did.
I can't let V. in the kitchen while I am doing it. She has commented, "that can't possibly taste good together".
However when dinner time rolls around she eats her portion faster than I do. ;)  :)
