New Member from Texas
« Reply #-1 on: May 31, 2016, 01:02:35 PM »
Hello from Texas,
Well I'm a newbie to the site and a novice at BBQ.  I've owned a Charbroil SRG for a couple of years and have enjoyed playing with it.  Definitely has some limitations for my limited skills, especially on brisket (however, it may be the briskets I am buying).  It's done well with turkey and chicken and just did a pork butt over the weekend that was great.

Actually joined the old Charbroil forum site when I bought the SRG and really enjoyed reading everyone's tips on how to use and the best recipes.  After a smoking hiatus, I was looking to get started again and searched for the forum.  Couldn't find it but found this forum which had a number of useful posts.  So I'm back in the saddle and needing all of the expert wisdom.

Looking to expand my smoking artillery with a new more traditional smoker sometime this summer, so I'll be looking for some advice.  Appreciate the opportunity to be part of the forum.
Thanks, Tim.

You are in luck. A bunch of us were on the SOTG Char-broil site and we all pitched our tents here. The king of infrared "TMB" is here and he and a bunch of others can give you all the help and guidance you will need. :)
