The mak you pull a pin and empty the fire pot.  On the Memphis you vacuum out the fire pot.

In your opinion Sparky, would you say the Mak is slightly easier to clean?

It's a lot easier to clean the mak.  Don't need a vacuum with the mak.

Thank you everyone.  My choice has been made and it will be a MAK 2 Star.  Any of the other Smoker/Grills on my list would have been a great choice too.  REC TEC, Fast Eddy, Yoder or Memphis.  For the low and slow and high heat style of cooking I hope to do, the MAK added up more Pro than Con points on my personal checklist, as I narrowed my choice down.  Thanks in large part to every comment I have gotten here on Let's Talk BBQ and More.  I will post when I have ordered and then will post pictures when received and first cook.
