We may have reached critical mass, the rate of adding new members is picking up!
I'm picking December 13 as the date we hit 200 members.

I hand picked the first 100 of you to create a nice, friendly community. And  regardless of my goofyness - it worked. ;D
So, promise me that YOU - the LTBBQ members  - who are the truly "good guys" will  tell other good guys about the forum - the ones that you feel will share our values of "Food, fun and fellowship"

There are plenty of other forums that deal with issues which we all will agree are...well - not condusive to feeling like going to your buddy's backyard BBQ.  We just want to be sure that as we grow, we maintain the same feel that all of YOU have accomplished in building here. Just a good place to hang out and talk food and beverage with friends. That's it. No hidden agendas.

O.K. guys...GO GET "EM!!!! :D :D :D

Good breeding and modesty prevent me from replying in the manner you deserve.

Now will you please tell me how to fix the "NEW" message feature so it takes me to the unread messages instead of making me restart every thread at the top?

First make sure that your page is showing the LTBBQ Info Center as the last section on the index page. If it is not "expanded, and merely a one line entry, click on the little button on the far right side of the Info Center line.
As this opens, you will see all the recent posts.
As well - below Info Center, there will be a section called Forum Stats. There is a clickable link there called : "View the most recent posts on the forum"
Let me know if that does the trick for you.And - no Turtle.... I can't help you with opposable thumbs ;D

from the "show unread posts since last visit" link
a list of posts will appear.
click on the word "new"
it will start at the first post instead of the last post I have seen.
Other SMF forums do this and go to the correct post.

Sorta.  Many of the early members came from other forums (fora?) - principally the Char-Broil- and Bradley-sponsored sites.
