Hey all.  Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself really quick.  My name is Devin and as I mentioned in the title of this message, I reside in great state of Kentucky.  I'm still pretty new to the grilling/bbq'ing/smoking world.  I've only been at it for just over a year, but have actually surprised myself at all that I have learned, thanks to the internet world, youtube, etc.  I never knew when I first started (after purchasing a cheap gas grill) that this would turn into a pretty big hobby for me.  Shortly after that initial purchase of the gasser, I decided to move on to the charcoal world with a Weber Smokey Joe and 22" Weber kettle.  I honestly think that may be the best money I have spent on something in a long long time.  Then, about a month ago, I added a Pit Barrel Cooker and am really enjoying it so far.  I actually found this site when doing some google research on the PBC before my purchase.  I've enjoyed reading the various boards, especially the PBC board.  So, enough about me, but I do look forward to chiming in on occasion (probably with questions more than anything else) but I am glad to be here.

Welcome from North Carolina.  I will be attending the BBQ on the River event this September.  A bunch of us are getting together and swap stories and any pre-made food items.  Last year I brought Buffalo Trace fudge and some mini-cheesecakes.  This year I have a surprise or two up my sleeves.

Check out the post on the BBQ on the River for more details.  Come join us.
