Crispy Fried Fish
« Reply #-1 on: July 02, 2016, 09:17:57 AM »
Late yesterday afternoon after it cooled down to a nice 93 degrees in the shade I did a little frying outside in the little T-Fal fryer. I had cut some catfish fillets into nuggets and set in the fridge in a yellow mustard bath and when ready to cook I battered them just before frying the French fries. I also whipped up a little homemade cole slaw dressing for cole slaw.

Fries done

Some of the fish

Time to make a plate. There used to be someone who hated my stainless condiment cups so for them I decided to use one for some ketchup. Lol.....

Fish was REALLY delicious!

They were really good. I even told my wife last night that I thought they were probably the best I've ever done. Not sure if it was the fish or the extra seasoning I added to it but they were crispy delicious!

Almost perfect but not quite.  There's gotta be some way to deep fry that slaw (looks too healthy).  Man, I'd eat the dishrag if you deep fried it  ::)

That's funny! Last night standing out there in the heat frying and drinking a cold beer I thought about a way of deep frying cole slaw. Lol....... I might do it next time but it would require a little prep beforehand.

I'm not sure how I existed before Google, but here's the first hit I got using "deep fried cabbage":  http://allrecipes.com/recipe/230565/deep-fried-cabbage/
