I have been doing movies/sports/concerts since 2008 outdoors. I have a system with surround sound & six speakers & a 12 foot screen. I did my system on a budget but you can go crazy  spending big money on this hobby also. My projector is an all in one Epson Moviemate that is outstanding.

I can say this also I have eliminated the mosquitoes on our property with a four step program. It works so well that by August I can shut down operations for two or three of my systems.  It really works for me!

Anyway it is so much fun folks you got to try it.............Anyone can PM me or here is a site that I post on......backyardtheater.com. You can find me easy as I have the most posts LOL

As far as outdoor cooking & Movies yes it is a great combo.

Tommy enjoy as the only real problem is weather but you have the answer to that with the shed.

Next.. you will need a popcorn machine - an industrial bug fogger ( hey...it's Alabama...the mosquitos might have rabies... ) and a playground for he kiddies. Throw in some speakers  that hang on poles, and crank up windows on the chairs.   

i do have a hot air popper and if need be I can hang a swing if you really need a play ground Tim .     I do have enough land where I could get a few cows for a cow tipping tournament
