Indiana Smoker/Grilling stopping to say hello!
« Reply #-1 on: July 09, 2016, 10:32:31 AM »
Hello all!
I've been grilling on propane since I've been out of my parents place, but just have been interested in smoking. I looked at some electric smokers, but received a Charbroil SRG on Fathers Day, my 1st!  I have cooked a butt on it, and it turned out amazing thanks to the help of LTBBQ. Hopefully I can get around here and make some new BBQ friends, and I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions. Thanks in advance to this wonderful group!

Chris

Your How to cook a butt in the SRG post is what I used to do my first!  Thanks a lot. Going to do a whole rotisserie chicken tomorrow, and am thinking about doing park loin here in a little bit.

Try injecting butter into you Chicken before you cook it.   Simply add two Tbs of your favorite rub to two sticks of butter and use that as the injection   Just save about half a sticks worth to brush on the outside of the bird when about half done.   Make sure to use a bird that is 6 to 7 lbs
